Metroid was probably my most favorite game in the mid to late 90s for the NES and today, Nintendo released Metroid Prime: Trilogy for the Wii. Announced back at E3 in June, Metroid 3: Corruption is packed together with Metroid Prime and Metroid Prime 2 Echoes all of which is encased a shiny blue metal [...]

I’m not sure what everyone expected Jobs to be working on, but the Wall Street Journal, ever vigilant, has ascertained that he is “pouring almost all of his attention into” the tablet. Did you think he’s been coming in every day to scrapbook?

I understand, it’s the year 2009, you think that if it comes down it, you can always take a picture with your iPhone or whatever. You could, but for those random snapshots, I think a super-cheap little film camera like this is awesome. You don’t have to worry about it getting stolen ($30), you don’t have to worry about focus or any scene settings (it has a fixed-focus super-wide 22mm lens) and it takes any junk 35mm film you want to put in it!

Load it up with 1600 and get insanely overexposed daytime pictures and ridiculously grainy evening pictures. Normally I’m an image quality fiend, but when it comes to shooting onto cheap film, I say everything goes.

I’ll save you the trouble of having to read a full review of Watchmen: The End is Nigh Part 2, folks. It stinks just like Part 1 stunk. Both parts are ridiculously repetitive and there’s only so much you can take of Rorschach hitting a guy in the nuts, head butting another and breaking some [...]

If the images look familiar, it’s because the two headsets look identical; it’s the interface and insides that are different. The [...]

Vacuum fluorescent clocks are one of those retro items that always retain their cool. The problem is, they are usually so damn expensive that it’s hard to justify buying something just for the cool factor. This kit makes that not so much of a problem.

Let’s say you’re minding your own business. Maybe you’re playing WoW, or maybe you’re walking the dog. You go about your business, when, suddenly, an electromagnetic pulse strikes, destroying our way of life as we know it. Electronic bank records, traffic lights, netbooks—all gone in a matter of seconds. What to do?

In what some would call a rather interesting move, Leica has decided to open it’s first store in the U.S. in West Palm Beach, Florida. This is interesting because, well, let’s face it, Leica is unapologetically not a bargain brand. They are also building a series of studios, classrooms, and other spaces to support the retail location.

IREX’s 8.1-inch touchscreen eReader is set to launch later this year and today they’ve announced that Barnes & Noble will be providing more than 750,000 titles when it hits the market. That is all.
